Yea I bought BF 2 and other things like C + C 3 and never had as many probs but hey.

Sorted the performance issues, but cant connect to a server for most of the time, disconnected etc etc and when I do, Punk Buster kicks me off ffs lol.

Oh well, guess we'll just have to sit tight on this and wait to they get it to a acceptable standard.

First game ever that has actually useful explosives BTW - destructible cover is not all that well balanced but gives depth to the game indeed

been playing it now for a bit... there have been some server probs making all servers perform shitty and punkbuster kicks etc... Altho it seems they are working on it and sometimes I get an hour or 2 without probs.

It really isnt my kind a game... getting ranks etc and unlocking stuff but I have been having allot of fun in the game and on teamspeak, also a nice suprise to see 69dude back in there! Kiss

So lets give this game a chance... and maybe krem can setup a server or 2?

Yeah it has probs atm, they were working on the EA server last night, so couldnt connect to a game...I think we could have alot of fun with this game as it gets up and running xyxthumbs

I havent had the time to play this game too much...bloody football on tv every night

Anyways, I just noticed my friends list is wiped clean conf

so I have to readd you lot. Btw, game plays like shit on my PC, T and McD, whats the performance like on yours?

it runs fine on my 8600GTS at work on low settings
and it runs good on my 8800GT on medium settings (1920x1080)

Mine runs fine on 1024x768 on high settings still with my midrange 46somethingorwtfitsnameis ATI card (havent had time to put in my old 8800GT) xyxthumbs

Just posted about the Friends list in the other thread, so yea I guess im going to have to add everyone back in again.

Lol about UT3, I didn't think that was that bad, at least I could get a game fairly easily without any hassle.

Regarding Bloodflowers comments, the game didn't run perfectly for me I had to mess around with it a bit. I run it 1920 x 1200 with 16 x AF and 8xAA with everything maxed out, this is on a Core i7 @ 3.8GHz + 6GB DDR3 + GTX 280 but it wasnt quite upto the job, the GFX card that is

Just as a test a tried my bro's new ATI card (5850) and that sailed through it NP.

Anyway, ill add everyone back in tonight then I guess. As per my comments in the other thread they should have called it Bad Programming 2 lol.

Sigh, yes the friends list is gone ... again. I've re-added the Core I had, although I have some new names to add now too.

And yes, this game certainly has some major teething problems, but I've stuck them out (despite 3 hard reboots etc, etc) - and it is a GREAT GAME. Just rather they'd held proper release back, until finished.

The point of the beta was ... ?

BTW - Little tip on the server browser. Upon entering server screen, press cancel immediately, tick all the filters, then refresh and it's much faster, and brings up only servers that you can actually join. Having said that, it can still be fidgety, but I generally get into servers much faster that way.
I also have some ffriendly clans servers written down, so can find them by name easier. Getting a spot on one, that's a different matter, lol.

Also anyone having problems with game freezing, white/blue screens etc?

Rename BFBC2game.exe to BF2.exe (Just until it's patched) - this will fool your Gfx card into thinking it's BF2, and if your drivers are reasonably up to date, they should have a "fix" for BF2 related problems. These could be simlilar to the BC2 probs, but there aren't the drivers out yet. wink

one more interesting thing... I have found that adding friends goes fine aslong as both of you are online at the moment, then the invite is sent and can be added immediately.. if one of the 2 is not online the invite seems to go into a blackhole somewhere... strange Grin
